Fruitland Police Department Press Release 10-14-13

SYNOPSIS: On October 13, 2013 at approximately 0100 hours the Fruitland Police Department was contacted by Peninsula Regional Medical Center in reference to an individual being treated for a gunshot wound. Upon arrival it was learned that the victim had been shot in the abdomen and was in critical condition. Investigators later learned that the victim had been in an argument with an unknown black male in the area of 214 Green Street, Fruitland, Wicomico County, Maryland. During the argument, the unknown subject produced a small caliber handgun and shot several times, striking the victim in the abdomen one time. The victim is being treated for life threatening injuries at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Further details are not available at this time.
