When the EBT database came back online and card purchase limits were suddenly restored, EBT card holders abandoned their full carts and just walked away, probably miffed that they missed out on participating in the felony theft of groceries.
This happened at Wal-Mart stores in Springhill and Mansfield, LA. As local news station KSLA reports:
Shelves in Walmart stores in Springhill and Mansfield, LA were reportedly cleared Saturday night, when the stores allowed purchases on EBT cards even though they were not showing limits.
The chaos that followed ultimately required intervention from local police, and left behind numerous carts filled to overflowing, apparently abandoned when the glitch-spurred shopping frenzy ended.
The story goes on to report that one woman who racked up $700 worth of groceries had only 49 cents on her card. That’s $699.51 in theft.

oh well, now the retailers can have it stuck to them , like they have to us over the years paying for everything for them when they pass the cost off in the price of the item...
PACK BACK IS A ITCH isn't it?
Just subtract from next and the following months' benefits until even. Don't bother criminally charging these thieves - it'll cost more than it's worth. If the users complain, match the checkout video footage with the charge data.
Just curious, what happens to all the perishables that were left at the checkouts?
This my friends is what Liberal America has brought to us...self inflicted victimization and dependency upon resources of Big Brother.. oh wait a minute.. how does Big Brother get Resources?... oh that's right... you..me..and other tax paying citizens.
Walmart was one of the businesses that lobbied for the food entitlement expanison.
Another drama scam to distract the country from what is really happening. Before the Syria drama the shit was hitting the fan Every week its a new drama issue.
Seems dumb to do a system upgrade right when everyone get their cards reloaded.
Just another ploy to detract from Government drama.
Like Syria
Like the health care sign up
IRS scandal
Like Gov shut down
etc etc
The feds have just agreed to pay the retailers the full amount that they lost because of the glitch.
This was a test. Glitch, ok. This is the way they will implement their precious martial law.
