Because 1984 day is not a standout news story.News coverage must end somewhere,and that issue is a non issue.2013 is a scary place to be,and times must change to accommodate the threats that we will encounter.Quit trying to connect the dots between Orwells 1984 and the present.Plod forward.

Yes I did.It was not ahead of its time,even though it was written in the late 40's.Anyone with even a limited vision of the future could have surmised such.Virtually any prediction made will eventually come true.The longer it takes the more profound it appears.
