OCEAN CITY –The issue of cracking down on droopy pants has made its way back into the news in Ocean City as a future discussion contemplating forming a law around the matter has been requested.
On Monday evening, Councilman Brent Ashley asked for a future discussion regarding what is referred to as the “Droopy Pants Ordinance.”
“This past Wednesday the City of Wildwood passed an ordinance establishing decency standards on the Boardwalk,” Ashley said. “I have had many calls from the media, businesses and residents about this ordinance … and I would like to request that we have a discussion about this type of an ordinance at a work session to see what may or might not work for Ocean City along those same lines.”

I retired from the Prison system after serving 23 years in both the Western Region and Eastern Regions of the State.
The droopy drawers originate from inside the prison walls; called "BUSTIN THE SAG"...
It is used inside the prison walls to solicit sex from from other men, and has made it to the streets being emulated by our youth.
How do they say you can't have baggy pants but people can wear a bathing suit that hardly covers anything?
Funny how so many people who want the government out of their own personal lives are in favor of legislation like this.
How does someone wearing their pants low affect you in any way? Telling people how to dress won't magically stop them from being thugs or criminals.
Free America and you wan to control how people dress?

Who cares if the girls run around 3/4 naked, they look a whole lot better than the guys!
Well if men can't wear pants below the waist and they call that baggy, then the women should not be allowed to wear tank tops or anything that shows 1/3 of the breast or skin area... And womens bra straps and the like should be banned as well then...
If people don't want to see underwear, then that should apply TO ALL not just MEN...

It might not make them stop being thugs or criminals 4:06 but maybe they won't come around anymore to these freaks who think it's cool to emulate prisoners. No one want to breath the same air as these half wits much less look at them and worry yourself sick that they are going to act up as they tend to do. Besides it is detrimental to their own health because they have to walk abnormally (will affect them later) and my friend who was in Baltimore and almost regularly hears gun fire saw a guy trying to run one hand holding the gun the other trying to hold his pants up and he fell right on his face.
Take notice 4:26pm to your statement regarding women, not that I disagree with you in the least, but the morality that many of us were raised to believe in, to adapt as our own belief system, is just a stones throw away from strict muslim beliefs, regarding women's dress. I'm not against your post, but have learned through life, that moderation is the key to all things decent. And yes, I understand that hard core muslims want anyone that refuses to become a muslim, eradicated from the face of this earth. Thank God moderate christians are the voice of reason. My beliefs and trust are in God, not man.
The cops are going to be upset, now it will be harder to catch the thugs that usually dress this way.
Let them wear their pants that way. When they loot a store it's easy to catch them because they have to use 1 hand to keep their pants up when they run.
Obviously the ones on this site that don't care about Proper behavior and/or respect for themselves and others are 99% Thugs.
