New Concern Polygraph Testing Will Become ‘Witch Hunt’ In Baltimore Prison Scandal

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Sex, drugs and money. The corruption probe at the Baltimore City Detention Center widens.

Adam May explains–starting Sunday night, some officers still on the job are forced to take lie detector tests.

For the last few years, inmate Tavon White claimed he ran the Baltimore Detention Center–dealing drugs, impregnating guards and making thousands of dollars a month.

Federal investigators say he had help from at least 25 people, including 13 female correctional officers. They face charges of racketeering, money laundering and drug possession and distribution.

This investtigation should have been done years ago. However the ones in charge of the Md Dept of Corrections did not want that kind of information coming out on their watch.Lie teaTS ARE A BUNCH OF CRAP AND WILL SOLVE NOTHING IN THAT SYSTEM OR THE WHOLE STATE.At the end the ones in charge must be fired and gotten rid up.

Females should not be employed in corrections, asking for problems. Rape or relations with inmates are bound to happen. Preditory bait

This convict has apparently been having sex with guards, dealing drugs, running gang operations from his cell with multiple cell phones, and likely ordering the beatings and rapes of anyone who didn't like it. You KNOW previous prisoners have complained, but SOMEHOW, those complaints were squashed. No one (responsible at higher levels) had a clue this was happening?? BS. Total BS! They aren't afraid of a witch hunt. They are afraid their role will be revealed. GUARANTEED that criminals on the street knew this was going on and not one informant said anything? BS! Isn't an agency head even SLIGHTLY responsible for what goes on under his command? Who (other than guards) has been arrested, charged, demoted, or has resigned? Thats a rhetorical question, of course....

lmclain is right. They knew but either were getting paid off themselves or it was so out of control they didn't want to deal with the scandal.
Evidently complaints were lodged but seemed to get 'lost' going up the chain of command.
Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo had a segment on about this and O'Reilly is having a follow up sometime this week he said last night.
This is just what omalley needs-A good old nationwide slap down to put him in his place and to show the nation how poor he is at governing the state of MD.

My question again. Where the hell is O'Malley?!!!

One of the worst jobs in the world is working for the DOC. The scandel, the backstabbing, the rumors, the lies and THEN there are the inmates.

O'Malley didnt know about this. Just wait for him to point fingers. Who picks wardens? Hmmmmmm

Gee, how about some all-hands regular drug testing, too. That should thin the ranks.
