I just looked at Ireton's budget posted on the city web site.
http://www.ci.salisbury.md.us/cityclerk/briefingbook/BudgetFY14/Mayor'sProposedBudgetFY14-041513landscape.pdf
On page "316" under the Mayor's office Jim Ireton is again requesting a pay raise for Lore Chambers. He wants her to go from a pay grade 12 to a pay grade 15. This guy has lost his mind. Jim Ireton the best thing you can do for this city is eliminate that position. We can't afford to have a Mayor, a city administrator and an assistant city administrator.
Check it out for your self and you1 wonder why your taxes are going up

There are several "reclassifications" in the Mayor's office, a couple of alarming cuts in the police department, not to mention no new officers requested (according to the budget produced by the Mayor).
The link for the proposed budget .pdf file is bad. It takes you to a home page instead.
Here is the correct link for the budget .pdf file.
She was given a raise of three grades (24%) last year, while the rank and file received a pay cut via higher health insurance and no offsetting raises of any kind - cost of living or merit.
Well, in my campaign I stated NO ONE would get a pay increase unless every one got a pay increase. I also stated that ALL Department Heads salaries would remain the same.
This is EXACTLY why it was extremely important to change the voting date to November for the next election.
The taxpayers are CLUELESS as to what the current Mayor will be proposing as it stands now. In the future that will change for the better.
"This isn't Joe Albero's election to lose, it's the citizens' election to lose".
She is getting a raise because all the department heads get paid more than her, and she's their boss.
Is she really qualified to be boss? Has she been in the position for as long as other dept heads? Get real!
She needs to go. What does she do anyhow?
