Capt. Joe Dutra of Hornblower Cruises said he saw a “super mega-pod” of common dolphins Thursday around noon while he was on his daily tour. He said the pod was more than seven miles long and five miles wide.
Dutra said the boat tour followed the pod for more than an hour and said he’s never seen anything like it.

we were on a commerical boat ride in OC a couple of years ago and there was a pod swimming by. It was an amazing sight. You could reach down and almost touch them.
I love to watch them playing in the ocean in the off season in OC.

Probably getting away from the coast before western CA falls into the Pacific from a mega-quake. Animals have heightened senses.
