O'Malley, Lauding Washington, Warns Of 'Hedonism'

Gov. Martin O'Malley told the Maryland Senate Monday night that if George Washington were to return to the State House in Annapolis, he would warn Americans against a "spirit of hedonism" imperiling the gains of the American Revolution.

Delivering the annual George Washington's Birthday address to senators, O'Malley says a returned Washington would challenge Americans to return to "first principles" and put the common good above personal gain.

It was the first time O'Malley has delivered the annual speech, which is typically given by a legislator. This year, however, Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller invited O'Malley to give the address, and the governor accepted with apparent enthusiasm.

I have to finally agree with O'Malley for once.
The problem is that we live in a society filled with an abundance of people whose top priority is pleasure rather than purpose and I admit that I was 1 of those people many years ago when I was much younger.
Unfortunately, many people will live selfish lives seeking pleasure rather than purpose.

Common good? Health care for all, restrictive defense? Yeah right...

I thought the common good was liberty

O'Malley just might be the reincarnation of George Washington.

4:21. Wrong. O'Malley is a reincarnation of of a blood sucking leach. He's a Democrat so it's in his DNA.

I'm positive that Washington would also be pissed off about the legalization of same-sex marriage.

O'malley is the biggest promoter of Hedonism in the country, save King Oblama. He's got no room to talk, but he will anyway.

You're absolutely right 6:47.
O'Malley is the epitome of the word HYPOCRITE.

o'malley has fallen for the hype that HE might be a presidential hopeful... For the next 3 years, Maryland is screwed. Everything omalley does will be done with an eye on the national profile he can create. He will take polls and start preaching to the choir. And take a lot of TAXPAYER funded "trips" to give speeches and to develop "policy", and most importantly, solicit national-stage type campaign contributions (bribes).

O'malley is nothing more than a presidential wanna be idiot! He's gonna screw Maryland up so bad, lose the presidential election, then walk away with that dumb grin on his face.
