Congressional Staff Jobs Provide ‘Dreamers’ A Leg Up To Citizenship

Two immigrants have gone from illegal to congressional in a matter of months.

Erika Andiola and Jose M. Quintero gained tentative legal status under President Obama’s non-deportation policy for young adults that took effect in August, and both have been hired to work in district offices for members of Congress.

Coming in the middle of the immigration debate, the hirings are freighted with symbolism about the bargain Mr. Obama and many in Congress want to offer illegal immigrants: come forward, register and be given legal status.

Let's not forget either that their employers don't have to pay any unemployment taxes for these individuals like they would had they hired full citizens. Of course, "Americans don't want these jobs". Sound all too familiar?

I forgot to add. I have nothing against these kids anymore than they should for my children. A job is a job and, if giving tax benefits to others so that MY kids can't get the same job or jobs, please let these Congressmen go back and examine their meaning of charity.

So let me get this straight..they sneak over the border cut in line and get preferancial treatment..suck all the funds from our school system with the poor little illegals getting an education tax free and i get to pay for it...wow and i cant even afford to send my kid to college..

You cannot afford to send your kid to college because you spend your money on trucks and big screen TV's.
