Unattended Death Being Investigated By OCPD

On January 26, 2013, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Ocean City Police and Paramedics responded to 216 Somerset Street, in reference to a subject who was found unconscious on the street outside of the Harbor Inn bar.

EMS and Police personnel arrived at the scene and located an unresponsive male. The male was taken to Atlantic General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The male has been identified as Michael Eric Post, 39, of Ocean City, Maryland.

Ocean City Police are currently investigating this incident as an unattended death. The deceased remains will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Maryland in Baltimore for autopsy to determine the manner and cause of Post’s death.

Not at all. He collapsed after coming out of the bar a few moments earlier. He was not a drunk, he was celebrating his 40th birthday which would have been today. He was loving father and wonderful guy who has a huge family who misses him greatly. Thank you

Only 40 yrs old. I had the same thing happen to a friend at 43 though she was home and collapsed and died (heart attack) and then 2 more friends who had some severe blockages. None were overweight or abused their bodies. One sought treatment at the Cleveland Heart Clinic and was basically told the food we are sold in this country is nothing more than gentically modified, chemical laden crap anymore and a major cause of most health problems. Even supposedly organic purchased in grocery stores is crap because as soon as the larger companies like Dole realized they were missing the boat on organics they had the government lower the standards on what can be labeled as organic.
