Subway customers may soon be seeing "footlong" sandwiches that are more consistently a full 12 inches long, according to a company statement issued in the wake of lawsuits filed against the sandwich chain.
Complaints that Subway's "footlong" sandwiches don't quite measure up have stretched all the way from Australia, across the Internet and this week into courts in New Jersey and Chicago. Today, Subway responded with a statement saying it would work harder to achieve sandwich-length uniformity.
"We have redoubled our efforts to ensure consistency and correct length in every sandwich we serve," the statement said, while declining to offer comment on the suits specifically. "Our commitment remains steadfast to ensure that every Subway Footlong sandwich is 12 inches at each location worldwide."

This just insane! They bake the rolls right in the stores. Nor every roll is going to be a perfect 12". Not to mention the extra 1 to 1 and a half inches is not going to get you anymore meat, cheese or toppings, that stuff is pre-measured so the roll size really doesn't matter.... Money hungry sue happy people..... WHAT A JOKE!!!
so thats how jared lost all that weight he was cheated
I hate subway but why not boycott 1/4 ponders before cooked also they are less too after cooked/.ooops here come the lawsuits for Burger King, this kind of stuff needs to end.
How stupid! No one needs a 12" sub anyway, but to SUE over it is absolutely absurd! I totally agree with 1:15 am...this nonsense needs to END. The lawyers and courts need to refuse these idiotic lawsuits!
Some people just have too much time on their hands.
At an inch short, it's still a GREAT sandwich at a GREAT price. Quit bitching.
Subway sucks. Support a local business and go to Red Door where they have REAL subs at a much cheaper price.
Everybody over measures! I call mine 9 when it's a 6.
I'm suing Home Depot tommorrow for the 2x4's they sold me.... I measured them and they ARE NOT 2 inches by 4 inches. Now, if FAT people could start eating THEM , I think I might have a shot at winning that lawsuit. And those 6 oz cans of tuna? They only have 4 oz of tuna!!! The rest is $4 dollar an ounce WATER. C'mon all you starving whalebaits! Lets go get 'em!! You don't have to take this crap! The REAL starving kids in America? Screw them. We have SERIOUS issues to sue over!
The subs could have been 12" long...before they were wrapped up in the paper..rolled first in the paper and THEN have the ends of the paper tucked in to keep it fresh. The ends of the paper tucked in made the sub shorter!
10:56-Yes,but if she is crosseyed won't everything double in size?
