A government report Monday criticized the U.S. Treasury Department for approving “excessive” salaries and raises at firms that received taxpayer-funded bailouts during the financial crisis.
The Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program said Treasury approved all 18 requests it received last year to raise pay for executives at American International Group Inc., General Motors Corp. and Ally Financial Inc. Of those requests, 14 were for $100,000 or more; the largest raise was $1 million.
Treasury also allowed pay packages totaling $5 million or more for nearly a quarter of the executives at those firms, the report says.

You people are so ate up it isn't funny! You live on peanuts while at the same time make sure the rich get richer.
More of your tax dollars going to the rich! The dems are no different than republicans. They just do the same under the table or behind closed doors.
government crooks. redistribution; remember? the government does is both ways to "buy" votes. get it?
It is my understanding that AIG has repaid its loans in full.
Not quite 10:22. The federal goverment still holds (owns) 61% of AIG valued at around $30 billion and must sell it off at a certain price per share to break even. So far shares aren't selling enough for the govenement to break even.
I thought our spending president was going to give more money to the poor, not the rich. our goverment is so out of touch with the real world, it is a sin. We give billions to nations that hate us, and want to destroy our way of life. Yet our same goverment keep looking at ways to cut social security, and medicare. Even calling it an entitlement. We paid into this for years, it is not an entitlement. We are a doom nation, and our citizens just set by and take it.
Where's the "you have no clue" dude? It seems to me that there are more than a few people that DO have a clue. They just aren't willing to give blind obedience to authority and accept whatever BS is fed to them. But, DO enlighten us, "no clue" dude. What are we missing when it comes to the rape and dismemberment of the middle class taxpayers.....
