Pelosi held a House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee hearing on "Gun Violence Prevention: A Call to Action,” where she endorsed the gun control proposals President Barack Obama unveiled today.
“Earlier this month, shortly after Newtown, all members of Congress took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the American people,” Pelosi said. “To protect and defend. That is our first responsibility.”

Why do lawyers have to pass a bar exam to practice law, when those who make the laws are exempt from knowing what the actual constitution says?

I think those words were intended for reference to the constitution. Time for this lady to retire. Is there not some competency test these people are required to pass? If not that needs to be a first order of business. That should clear out about 1/2 the commu-crats and about 1/4 of he replubli-crats.
