ANGELA BRYANT CONVICTED BY WICOMICO COUNTY JURY OF ATTEMPTED MURDER IN THE SECOND DEGREE

On January 17, 2013 Angela Bryant, age 37, of Salisbury, Maryland was convicted of Attempted Murder in the second degree and multiple other charges by a Wicomico County jury.

The charges against Bryant arose out of an altercation on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2011. The jury convicted Bryant of brutally slashing another woman’s throat down to the trachea. The State’s victim was lucky to survive the attempt on her life after emergency surgery to close her throat at PRMC.

Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew A. Maciarello commended the Salisbury Police Department for their excellent teamwork in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mr. Maciarello also thanked the citizens of Wicomico County who sat on the jury along with Safe Streets Prosecutor, Richard J. Brueckner Jr., who prosecuted this case.
