WYE MILLS - Three military veterans got the chance recently to relax and enjoy the great outdoors with a deer hunt.
"It was nothing short of amazing. It was great to see these guys and to see the enjoyment they had," said Jesse Haas, president of the Langshaw Hunting Club in Skipton, the group that arranged the trip.
Haas said the hunting club spent all summer trying to get some veterans to come for a hunting trip.
The club eventually got in touch with Operation 2nd Chance and a wing of the organization called No Person Left Behind, which operates out of the Howard County area and is mainly involved with hunting and fishing trips.
