Keeping Kids Off The Streets

If you haven't figured it out yet, the Hearne Family is doing everything in their power to keep kids off the street and managed by professionals to show them a great time.

Their newest venture at the Crown Center in Fruitland is their new Under 21 Club/Lounge. Take a hard look at the environment they've provided. For $20.00 you get a slice of pizza, a soda, discounts to Lazer Tag and Roller Skating.

Each person goes through a professional high tech metal detector before entering the Club. A professional DJ spins records for dancing over the 4 hour period they are open.

Bill, Judy and Suzie Hearne have done more to entertain children and young adults then anyone I have ever known. They have spent millions of dollars delivering safe, clean environments for children in Wicomico County. If you think they're rolling in profits you'd be sadly mistaken. The Hearne Family has been Paying It Forward for years.

Their hours right now are:
Thursday night is College Night 7:30 to 11:30
Friday and Saturday night is High School Night 7:30 to 11:30.

Ages start at 15 years old to 20 years old.

Sounds like a good deal. For 20 bucks the kids get a snack and a safe place to socialize for a few hours and if they choose other activities for a discount price.
I'd rather have them at a place like this where they are supervised than hanging out in the streets. I hope it works out well.

And no government funds were used!
How wonderful.

The skate park would be the same. Leave the government out of it!

20 bucks? Seems a little steep to me. I do hope it does well. There isn't any thing else going on this town. Which is why i am leaving. I do agree that they are a very nice family though.

Seems a little steep. For 15 bucks I saw Kellie Pickler in concert and got a sanwhich and a drink for another 10.

When you break it down it comes to $5/hr. I don't think that's too bad considering there's a DJ and most importantly security. If they can keep this a safe place for the teenagers to socialize I think $20 bucks is a reasonable price.

Just curious...will they be carding kids to keep under 13s or over 20s out. I would hope so. If not, issues will occur.
