A photo of a receipt allegedly left by a single mother at a restaurant has gone viral after it was originally posted on Reddit. The bill shows a charge for a $138.35 meal with no additional tip. Instead, there's a note that reads "single mom sorry" -- implying that whoever signed the bill doesn't have enough money because it is expensive to raise kids alone.
Redditor PhoenixSongFawkes posted the photo and wrote, "I'm sure $140 could have gotten you and your kids a week worth of groceries, but instead you spend it one one meal?! For shame!"

I have been shocked at a restaraunt bill to the point of taking all the enjoyment out of the experience, and understand her thoughts, which are "I have come upon a windfall, and wanted to beg relief from the grocery only drudgery, but the bill itself exceeded my windfall".
It's a sick feeling that takes the appetite satisfaction out of the eating out experience. Those of us in that position have sticker shock, but knew when we left the house that there would be an expected 15% or better tip involved.
Mu question here is , just how many kids did she bring there? Holy crap! Mom with a couple beers is an easy 35. Kids meals under ten dollars times 4 is 40. Boyfriend or girlfriend, who should have been either treating or at least going Dutch, another 40. So, we're at 110. You will need 4 more drinks from the bar to make $140.
You need to either not drink the extra drinks and pay the tip, or stay home. Meal and drinks at home with meals for 6; $20.00.
