Why would anyone think it is fun to sit around, on call/duty, up to 48 hours away from home and family. Praying no one loses their life in a fire or accident so they don't have to go out on a call. Does anyone believe anticipating a tragedy is fun? Give these people more credit than you do. Your life might depend on it.

This must be pick on first responders day. The cop ones were cute, the old donut joke. This one would have been funny if the second picture didn't have them in turn out gear, meaning they had responded or trained.
To the commenters getting offended, try to lighten up. Teachers get it, nurses get it, etc. We need to be able to laugh at ourselves once in a while.
Put a beer in their hand and have them cheat on their spouse and it would be more convincing. Well at least for the FD in the East side of Wicomico County
