Line up is on Pennsylvania Ave. Parade route is east on State St. and left on 8th ending up at the high school. Short, but sweet. Grandstand usually set up by the light at State and Bi-State.
The streets are filled with people and a lot of the floats throw candy to the onlookers. Delmar is a wonderful little town to see a Christmas parade. It's usually about 30 to 45 minutes long. Perfect
I am wonderning WHY the Christmas Paradeds in Delmar, Crisfield, Ocean City, etc. have NO charge for entries. Salisbury wants $20.00 for non-profits, car entries, and more for commercials. AND if you are late with the entry form there is a $10.00 late fee. Thesed non-profits are not in the parade to make a profit they are there for the Christmas Spirit. Just like everything in Salisbury there is a FEE for everything. The Salisbury Festival they have out priced everything. The SHOW is down to nothing to offer. When people are greety they loose. Why not do something for the public just for the fun of it. Trophies are NOT that expensive. I am sure a business would donate the trohies if asked.
