Troopers Seek Public’s Help In Locating A Wanted Subject

Manuel Vasquez, 24, Delmar, DE (Photo Attached)

Assault 1st
Possession of Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony

Resume:
Laurel, DE- The Delaware State Police is asking the public’s assistance in locating Manuel Vasquez, 24 of Delmar, DE. Vasquez is wanted by the State Police for Attempted Murder 1st during an incident that occurred in Laurel.

Troopers were called to the Five Points Liquor Store on North Central Avenue in Laurel around 4:00 p.m. yesterday after a 27 year old male was found lying on the ground near the rear of the store with stab wounds to his face. The investigation revealed the 27 year old victim had just left the liquor store when he was confronted by Vasquez. As the victim attempted to walk away from Vasquez, a physical altercation ensued and Vasquez stabbed the victim in the face with a knife multiple times. Vasquez then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The 27 year old victim was initially transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and then later transferred to Christiana Hospital where he is currently admitted for his injuries.

Kind of looks like the floor mop I used in my garage yesterday. There was a mess of oil on the floor. I have it soaking in gasoline now but I think I'll just chunk it.
