Former Maryland Delegate Tiffany Alston is still barred from office despite a reduction of her sentence on misconduct charges, according to an opinion issued Tuesday evening by the state attorney general's office.
Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley asked the office on Friday to review Ms. Alston’s status after her lawyers argued that she should be allowed to reclaim her seat after completing her sentence of community service. Ms. Alston pleaded guilty last month to charges that she used campaign funds to pay for her wedding.
After the Prince George’s Democrat has completed the required community service, a judge reduced her sentence to probation.

She was found guilty, the law says she loses her job. It does not say she can't run for the office again next time. A suspended sentence or a sentence of probation means she was not found not guilty.
This is crazy. Without her Delegate job, the taxpayers will have to fund her support.
I want her representing me. I mean giving me free handouts and thinking it's okay. Lucky me.

A sentence of any kind means one is guilty. Which dream world did you fall out of?
Your first sentence begins, she is guilty.
Your last sentence states she is not guilty.
You're just a bit confused.
Hold on just a minute...I know a guy that allowed guns to get into the drug cartel's hands that murdered one of our border agents...did nothing while 4 brave Americans were murdered at our embassy...lies to the American people all the time...gave away and then was lost billions of tax prayer's money on solar energy.....and he's still our President? WTF?
