MSP Salisbury High Speed Chase And Apprehension


LOCATION:   N/B Rt 13 @ Carroll St, Salisbury, Wicomico County, MD.

BRIEF RESUME:

On the above date and time, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2004 Hyundai Sonata for an equipment violation.  The driver led Troopers on a 19 mile high speed pursuit, during which he committed several traffic violations.  The pursuit ended on Route 374 in Worcester County.  The driver then bailed and attempted to flee on foot.  Troopers apprehended the suspect.  Investigation revealed that the driver was also in possession of CDS: Marijuana and Paraphernalia.  He also had an active retake warrant for his arrest through the Maryland Parole Commission.  The driver, identified as Tymir Deron Johnson was driving on a suspended license.  Johnson was transported to central booking to go before a district court commissioner.

Arrested:
Tymir Deron Johnson, B/M, age 28 of Salisbury, Maryland.
 
The suspect was charged with:
CDS Possession: Marijuana
CDS Possession: Paraphernalia
Resist/Interfere with Arrest
Fail Comply with Lawful Order
Fail Obey Reasonable/Lawful Order
Obstructing/Hindering
Driving on Suspended License
Fleeing/Eluding Police
Exceeding Speed Limit
Aggressive Driving
