The dog found on Riverside Dr. is a female. Still looking for her owner, hope they both find their way home.

Hopefully it's been 7 days. Pitbull owners should be held legally responsible for negligence when their potentially animal gets loose.

11:43 - you're a moron. All dogs have teeth which means ANY dog can bite! So can any carnivorous being - including humans!

I work with dogs and have met dashunds that will have your ankle for dinner and pits, rotties and dobermans that want to love you to death.

It's not the breed, it's the humans who determine the personality of a pet. Dont believe everything you "hear" or read. Talk to people who are experienced with dogs before you spread misinformation.

With all the bad (false) talk about pits I'm sure this was the LAST thing his human wanted to happen!!!

Very well said 1:52. He is a pet to that family and I pray they find there way back to each other. I love my pitbull as I do my chihuahua and they get along perfectly. Any dog owner has responsiblities of their pet, that's just common sense.

1:52, It is NOT humans who determine the inherent traits of a dog! All breeds are bred with traits and characteristics bred into them such as retrieving, herding, etc. You do not work with dogs otherwise you would know this. To deny that a pit breed hasn't the potential to be dangerous is irresponsible and quite frankly, ignorant of you. Don't even attempt to compare a pit to a dashund because there is no comparison to a small dog and a powerful pit.
The first step in addressing the pit problem is for all you supposed pit lovers to get out of denial.
