ANNAPOLIS, MD – Due to Hurricane Sandy, Governor Martin O'Malley today announced that early voting hours have been extended. Beginning TODAY, Wednesday, October 31st, early voting locations will operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, November 1st from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, November 2nd from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, November 2nd was added as a makeup day for Monday, October 29th, which was cancelled due to the hurricane.
Additionally Governor O'Malley has extended the deadline for absentee ballot applications until tomorrow, Wednesday, October 31st. The new deadline is 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 31st for applications received by mail or delivery and 11:59 p.m. for applications received by fax or email. Applications should be sent to the local board of elections.

Isn't it amazing that the Democrats will readily extend voting when the general population is involved but has fought against extending for overseas military?
