Over the weekend, Facebook took down a message by the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) which highlighted the fact that Obama denied backup to the forces being overrun in Benghazi.
The message was contained in a meme which demonstrated how Obama had relied on the SEALS when he was ready to let them get Osama bin Laden, and how he had turned around and denied them when they called for backup on Sept 11.
I spoke with Larry Ward, president of Political Media, Inc -- the media company that handles SOS postings and media production. Ward was the one who personally put the Navy SEAL meme up, and the one who received the warning from Facebook and an eventual 24 hour suspension from Facebook because Ward put the meme back up after Facebook told him to take it down.

Well, I guess my Facebook account isn't an important part of my life at all!
Bye, bye!
Well this is it for me I'm done with facebook. map
Try to delete your accounts and see if you can. I've heard horror stories on how it's next to impossible to delete them.
I've been off of Facebook for over a year and couldn't be happier! That site is a complete waste of time. Your " friends" aren't even people who you talk to on a regular basis. What kind of friend is that?! I realized life was more about interacting with the people I care about. Not about making myself look good in pictures online just to show my former friends, whom I haven't spoken to in person for at least 15 years how great my life is. And since I've deleted my profile I've realized who my true friends are. And no, I don't have 1000+ in real life. I have a select few who are as important to me as I am to them.
Facebook can be deleted easily if you know how to do it. But you have to leave it alone, not sign in, for 2 weeks.
Facebook is whatever you make it. You voluntarily put up info that you allow anyone to see, based on your settings.
I use it to keep track of family and friends.
I also use it to play games. The 'friends' I use to play the games are in a separate group with very limited permissions.
Chat is blocked from them also. I don't allow them to read or comment on anything I publish, which isn't a whole lot.
I have yet to hear of anyone who had a gun pointed at their head ordering them to make a facebook account or post personal information.
Were you able to delete it completely 10:04? I've heard where it's nearly impossible to do anything more than deactivate it.
I don't have one so I don't know but friends have told me this.
I had deleted my account over a year ago.
Yet in searches still had info coming up in google related to the former content.
I logged in again to see what was there. My profile came up as it was before. Even after I had deleted photo's and posts...
Seems pretty permanent to me.

Sounds like you deactivated your account not deleted it.
I have tried to delete facebook and I failed. I will say this, just edit and delete all of your personal information and all, if any pictures, call it a day and never return.
Once you post things to the internet, or to the pages of facebook friends, it's there to stay.
There is no way to access your friends facebook newfeed page to delete what you left there.
