I think it all depends on what it is, and if you have the option to cook it.
Raw meat, if you can cook - I would eat it until it develops that bad smell.
Raw veggies - you can probably go 3-5 days on them if they are fresh.
If you're into making BBQ, unsauced meat will last a really long time. It's already been cured with salt and smoke. You could probably get 5-7 days out of it with a way to reheat it to 180. I'd feel safest with beef, followed by pork and then chicken.

If everyone can keep the refrigerator door closed as much as possible,24 hours.
Health Department said 4 hours room temperature. Then the food is to be heated before eaten. I think 145 degrees.
