Incident: Fugitive Extradition

Suspect: Edwin Manuel Navedo Jr., 31, Gwynn Oak, MD
Narrative: On 5 September 2012 at 7:10 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to Baltimore, MD for the purpose of picking up Edwin M. Navedo. Authorities in Baltimore were detaining Navedo on behalf of Wicomico County on an active Circuit Court Bench Warrant. The warrant was issued back in June 2012 after Navedo failed to appear in the Circuit Court in a Child
Support Case.
The deputy transported Navedo to the Detention Center where he was held on $500.00 cash bond.

Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 24 August 2012
Location: 600 block of Rose Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Victoria Pitts -Maddox, 26, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 24 August 2012 a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office became involved with an incident where Victoria Pitts- Maddox allegedly assaulted another individual with a beer bottle.
Pitts -Maddox is accused of yelling at the victim before swinging the bottle at the victim’s head. Pitts- Maddox then jumped into a vehicle and sped away.
A warrant for Pitts- Maddox was obtained and she was arrested on 3 September 2012. Upon arrest, the deputy transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Pitts -Maddox on Personal Recognizance.

Reckless Endangerment
Incident: Driving Under the influence of Alcohol
Date of Incident: 4 September 2012
Location: Carroll Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Alvin Curtis Cropper, 40, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 4 September 2012 at 2:45 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle operated by Alvin Cropper for driving at night with no headlights on. Upon contact with Cropper the deputy detected an odor of alcohol and other indicators of impairment but Cropper became argumentative, denying that he had consumed alcohol. The deputy began sobriety testing but was
unable to complete all the tests as Cropper continued to be argumentative with the deputy.
The deputy discovered that Cropper’s privilege to drive a vehicle was suspended in the State of Maryland.
The deputy also discovered three open warrants for Cropper’s Arrest from the Circuit Court of Wicomico County. All three warrants were for failure to appear.
Cropper declined to take a breath test when requested by the deputy.
The deputy transported Cropper to the Detention Center where he was processed and detained without bond pending an appearance in front of a Circuit Court Judge.

really youd send a deputy all the way to baltimore for an idiot who didnt pay child support and give him a bond that was half the cost of the trip?at least make him pay for the gas.
