Resume:
Delmar, DE- The Delaware State Police have arrested one teen and are looking for two others in a late night burglary to Delmar Speedway.
Troopers were dispatched to the Delmar Speedway this morning around 1:15 a.m. for an alarm activation from the tower near the drag strip. When troopers arrived, they made contact with one of the owners who had also been summoned by the alarm company and observed the front gate was open and a lock had been cut off. As the troopers began searching the speedway, they observed a black Pontiac Grand Am parked next to the gas pumps near the drag stip. Brandon Hearn was sitting in the driver’s seat of the car and was immediately taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed a total of three sheds and the race tower had been broken into causing damage to the locks and the structures. It was also determined through the investigation that Thomas L. Bowman Jr. and Charles T. Brewington were involved in the incident but fled the area undetected. Troopers obtained warrants on Bowman and Brewington and are asking the public's help in locating them.
If anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Bowman or Brewington they are asked to contact the Troop 5 at 302-337-1090 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Information may also be provided via the internet at www.tipsubmit.com
