O’Malley Makes Early Stop As 2016 Prospect

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, a 2016 presidential prospect, began forging an early — and therefore tricky — path into presidential proving ground Iowa on Sunday.
Appearing at Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin’s annual steak fry, O’Malley dismissed the awkwardness that comes with trying to make a good first impression on Democratic activists in the leadoff caucus state, even as fewer than 60 days remained in Democratic President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
“That’s not what I’m doing here. I’m here because my friend Sen. Harkin asked me to come,” the Democrat told reporters before speaking to hundreds of Iowa Democratic activists.

Don't want hinm any more than I want the Kenyan reelected...

If he is ever on the ballot I would encourage every state in the country to secede from the nation.

We'd better hope and pray that Mitt Romney is elected pres and does a good job because we don't need this clown. Maryland is near the top of every list as the worst state to do business in. The wealthy are leaving Maryland in droves to get away from the tax and spend policies of O'Malley. Tax the crap out of everybody and spend twice that amount. And to think a majority voted him into office...

If he is on the 2016 ticket it would be Obama the sequal. By far the worst gov. we have ever had.

O'Malley is very well liked in this state weather you handful of Eastern Shore wingnuts want to admit it or not. He's making very good impressions on voters and citizens outside the state on a National level as well. You all just shoot your uneducated mouths off and basically talk only to each other. You are not relevant, O'Malley is. Nuff said.

2:30
Before you try to insult the people on the Eastern Shore you might want to figure out the difference between weather and whether.
I grew up on the "Western Shore" and so did my spouse. We see the comments that are coming from our friends on facebook. They are NOT happy with what he is doing in the state. Every time he raises a tax more people move out of the state and they lose tax money. Try your lies elsewhere they will not fly with me.

Eastern Shore wingnuts. Sounds like another "tolerant" liberal. O'Malley is popular in the large population centers where a majority don't pay taxes or fees anyway and of course by the "limosine" liberals who are above it all anyway. Worse than Paris "Spendening"? Certainly no better. 2:30, if you live here among the Eastern Shore wingnuts, feel free to leave anytime. And if you like him so much, send him more of your hard earned money, I'd like to hold on to mine.

Obviously 2:42 is in the early stages of denial. O'Malley appeals to a great number of people both in state and out of state. Because you grew up on the "Western Shore" does not make you any less an idiot.

Sorry 3:03 not in denial. Just the facts. Most of his popularity comes from Montgomery County. Have you looked at what Mont Co has become in the last 20 years? Do you understand why they are going broke? I'm not saying that if he ran again he wouldn't win. I'm saying he is not as popular as you think he might be.

omalley's a legend in his own mind. he will fare about as well as John Edwards did. He'll be lucky if he gets 3% of the votes in the primaries.
