5:33 I think that is the orginal Pong game that you played on your tv
7:54 Those are clackers or that is what we called them. You held the string and bounced them if you got them going fast enough they hit above and below and if you didn't they busted your knuckles
5:33 It switched the tv to play the original "video game" which was in black and white. At that time it was THE thing to have for any kid. I still have the one my family shared in it's original box.
The first pic are Clackers and they were popular when I was a kid. My dad wouldn't let me have any because they were "dangerous." Well at least that is what he heard. The glass ball would chip and cause eye injuries. I would say that was every bit of 40 years ago.
I can recall kids getting injured with the clackers. Not sure if anyone was ever killed, but those things would knock the heck out of you if you were'nt careful.
11:43 I heard the same "dangerous" story-LOL. I also heard it with those wooden cup type things on strings that you put on your feet and walked. I still have (and use) an old dial telephone in my kitchen.

You can get the Klackers on the boardwalk in OC for $8. They aren't the original glass balls , they are plastic but still just as fun.
