I hope this bill passes; my nephew was attacked by a Pit Bull when he was just walking home from school, and he needed plastic surgery to reconstruct his face. I went over and shot the dog because the owner wouldn’t. He called the cops; they told him that they would have shot it if I hadn’t! Once a dog attacks a child it gets a death sentence in Michigan, it is an unwritten rule. Most owners of Pits are usually of the criminal types, like drug dealers, using the animals to guard their products.
Pit Bulls are like owning a pet Rattle snake; they are nice and friendly till they bite someone!

The Nation is falling apart and we think this so important.
Solution is , pit bull attacks , shoot the dog and go on cutting your grass or what ever you were doing. This is a no-brainer.

I forgot to add something , if the dog attacks while with the owner , shoot the dog , then the owener.

Just a note : most drug dealers have pit bulls. They are used to notify the dealer of tresspassers.
Rob a dealer of his money , the cops will be pissed because they missed out on the money deal.

1046-All you are doing is repeating common misperceptions about Pit bulls. The same rhetoric was spoken in the 80s and 90s about German Sheperds and Rottweilers. It's not the dog, it's the owner. I can give thousands of examples of Pit bulls used as service dogs, brush fire rescue dogs, etc. etc.

Breed specific legislation ranks up with race based legislation on the moronic scale. Can they do more damage if they attack? Certainly. But the method of attack on this issue should be getting dogs out of the hands of bad owners. Look at the Vick dogs. All but one were able to be rehabbed and were adopted. Those heinous conditions weren't the dogs fault. The vast majority have showed what a difference owners make in the outcome of their pets.

can we also have legislation for other things based on this law?

since 95% of all terrorism is by muslims, lets lock em all up.

if white babtist vegetarians are responsible for 80% of the drug truffic lets lock them all up.

oh deer cause alot of car wrecks, let kill em all.

It's my understanding the Bill would require the Owner of the Pitt responsible for any damages done to a person.

If this is truth----Why don't they make Any Dog owner liable for damage done to others. This is stupid to even think of passing it without including ALL Dogs! And the owners should be liable for damages! The problem here is ---most of the owners of the dogs that are trained to attack----aren't going to have any resources to pay for damages caused!

I'm all for locking up the Muslims!!!!

309-The law would shift the presumption of guilt.

For example, if you own a Lab, the accusers would have to have evidence your dog did it. But, Pit bulls and their owners would have to prove their dogs didn't do it.
