They had gun control, No Firearms were allowed in the movie theater. This is a carry state. The bad guys are not going to follow the laws. Had firearms been allowed in the theater this idiot would probably of not even of tried this because it is obvious he did not want to die and we would of never of guessed how well the right to carry laws works for us.
The original reason for the 2nd Amendment was no so citizens could hunt or protect themselves from fellow citizens. The reason was so we could protect ourselves from tyrannical government.

The result of this aggression is disasterous, this is a given. To the street lawyer who has dissected the second amendmant, get your facts straight. The SHOOTER LIED on the FFL applicaton to obtain these weapons. There is a specific question on the paper that says "are you now or have you ever been either diagnosed or treated for MENTAL ILLNESS". If he had NOT LIED, the instant check would have DENIED the purchase.Therefore would you expect HIM to say anything else? It is prima facia he is a NUT along with people like you. There is no way ANY firearm will discharge at will or select a target such as the unforunates at the theater. The fault lies with the mental health counciler at the school he attended by NOT informing the local authorities of his instability and the possibility of the powder keg in his mind exploding.A liberal no doubt with his best intrests at heart chose to keep it confidential and within his rights. She bears just as much responsibility as he because those dead and injured had rights to expect a movie theater to be safe from her charge.
