Woodland Ferry Is Underway

Ferry returns to service following repairs

Seaford -- The Woodland Ferry is underway once again, crossing the Nanticoke River, after spending about six weeks undergoing maintenance and repairs.

Operated by the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), the ferry returned to service Friday, June 22. It connects the communities of Bethel and Woodland on Woodland Ferry Road.

Named the "Tina Fallon," after longtime teacher and State Senator from Seaford, passage on the Woodland Ferry the ferry is free. In the summer months, the ferry runs from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
