In a few weeks, hundreds of dedicated athletes from across our country will travel to London to represent our great nation. They’ll compete, win medals and stand proudly as our national anthem plays and our stars and stripes waves high.
The U.S. Olympic team receives no government funding and relies solely on corporate sponsorships and private donors. This year, we all can help by buying a stitch on the American Flag that the team will take to London. Each stitch costs $12 and can be dedicated to anyone, anywhere. Katie and I are buying a stitch and we hope you’ll join us. Click here to get yours today.
The Olympic Games are much more than just a sporting event. They are games that have united us as Americans and as a global community for hundreds of years. And this year, I know that Team USA will go all the way.
A special thanks to Governor Hickenlooper from Colorado for letting us know about this sponsorship program.
Good luck to all of the Olympians from Maryland. We’re proud of you.

$12 a stitch? They must have a union member making that flag.
I stopped watching the Olympics when they allowed pro-athletes to compete.
4:40 So did I.
Just where did Katie and he get the money he's pledging anyhow? Sure, O'Malley will claim it only came from special interests but we all know it's our tax money. Can't fool me!
If you don't buy a stitch, Katie and I will buy a warehouse full of flags from YOUR Transportation Fund.
Typical, O'Malley posing for a photo op with 2 gay people. And then we put into the equasion Governor Hickenlooper. Give me a break!
