Next stops for the tea party after Wisconsin: Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Fresh
off last week’s seismic victory against Big Labor, conservative
activists are revving up their ground game in key presidential swing
states where unions have long dominated. The goal: secure big wins in
the House, Senate and the White House.
The effort could turn presidential battleground states into mirrors of
the Wisconsin recall race, where conservatives coupled a robust ground
game with an overwhelming fundraising push to beat back labor’s presumed
advantage when it came to getting voters to the polls. And with unions
under attack from state lawmakers and reeling from Scott Walker’s win,
right-wing activists see opportunities all over the map.
