It shouldn’t be any surprise, but the presidential election is shaping up as a case study in how to manipulate the democratic process.
The media have played a huge roll, of course, by manipulating Obama’s poll numbers, which seem to stay high despite numerous reports of his losing ground among various constituent groups.
Careful selection of the stories to downplay or ignore is also important. The Fast and Furious scandal, the presidential leak scandal, the almost complete ignoring of the Catholic Church’s battle with the administration, the proof that President Obama was a dues-paying member of the socialist New Party, the ongoing coverup of Obama’s past — the list is long and getting longer every day.
But there are deeper manipulations going on.

Has any noticed that the MVA is registering voters that have yet to reach the age of 18. Do you think that the regime in Annapolis might be able to find a way to use those names?
You know it seems as though the good ole U.S. of A. has made itself the object of desire for those in the world who wish global dominance. It comes as no surprise that the money of outsider billionaires like Soros or the Saudi kingdom would go to extremes to control our society.
Once again history should be read as our founding fathers understood the very nature of human beings and how power corrupts.
That was why they always felt that the people should control the government - not the other way around.
Although I agree with the general premiss of the article, I don't believe that the gasoline prices will be much lower than now by the election.
One of the main reasons that the price of gasoline is high is because the Obama administration has devalued the dollar thru quantitative easing.
Quantitative easing is basically printing money and giving it to the Federal reserve.
By printing money, the value of the money drops. It now takes more money to buy the same amount of oil as before.
A "huge roll"? Really?
Try "role."
Not blaming you, Joe. Obvious this is from another source, but truly a tribute to the "dumbing down" of America.
