SPD Press Release 5-31-12

Michael Bruce Manning, 57yo of Salisbury, MD was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possess a Regulated Firearm by a Habitual User, and Wear & Carry a Dangerous Weapon.

On May 29, 2012 at approximately 3:19am, an officer observed a vehicle being operated in the area of East Church St and Martin St by Manning that had a broken taillight. The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with Manning who became
extremely nervous. The officer requested a K9 which responded from the Sheriff’s Office to conduct a vehicle scan. Once deployed, the K9 alerted to the presence of a controlled dangerous substance inside the vehicle. Officers then searched the vehicle and located a smoking device with a quantity of suspected cocaine and a loaded 12 gauge shotgun.

Manning was released to the custody of Central Booking.

It is hilarious to read the descriptions of the police. "He was getting "extremely nervous." Well it is 3 am and he did just get pulled over by a cop so he probably was not happy....
