Maryland has some of the lowest taxes in the country, Gov. Martin O’Malley said Wednesday officially announcing plans to call a special session of the legislature to fix a budget impasse -- partially by raising taxes.

He's raising taxes to help with the wedding when he and Obama get married. Why not, they're already in bed together.
He is not lying, not many other places you can go to where sales tax is 6%. That said, it does not need to be raised. Cuts need to be made, waste needs to be cut.
