A Southern Christian Woman's Take on 'GCB'

GCB. Oh, what did you just call me? Well, bless your little heart.

I’ve gotten a lot of calls lately about ABC’s new sitcom that parodies Christian women in America’s Bible Belt. Raised in Tennessee, I’ve heard a lot worse jokes than “the bigger the hair, the closer to heaven.”

Christians, just like every other member of our species are human, too. And that means that some of us might even be quirky.

That combo is often funny.

I just wish Hollywood knew us well enough to portray us accurately. -- Considering that 83 percent of Americans call themselves Christians, there is certainly plenty of material.

Media is fabrication why is that new to people. TCB is a cheap shot and will burn out the way most TV shows do. Not quick enough in my opinion.

the hollywood heathens will never product that resembles truth. nothing that comes out of that pit is worth watching.

Arguing with a Christian is like playing chess with a pigeon. You could be the greatest player in the world, but the pigeon will still knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around triumphantly.

2:25 I do whole heartedly agree but that fact is shared by the entire human race. Very unfortunate.
TV is for entertainment so if your not entertained turn the damn channel your free to do that. I don't like shows that make me think in a revenge mode.
