WASHINGTON (Reuters) - More than two-thirds of Americans disapprove of the way President Barack Obama is handling high gasoline prices, although most do not blame him for them, according to a Reuters/Ipsos online poll released on Tuesday.
Sixty-eight percent disapprove and 24 percent approve of how Obama is responding to price increases that have become one of the biggest issues in the 2012 presidential campaign.
In the past month, U.S. fuel prices have jumped about $0.30 per gallon to about $3.90 and the Republicans seeking to replace the Democrat in the November 6 election have seized upon the issue to attack his energy policies.

we have every right to be angry at "mr greenjeans". this dude is truly clueless. vote republican in november as if your life depends on it; because it does...
O'Bama is the anti-Christ...
Unfortunately this is exactly what he wants. Come October, he will release vast quantities from the US fuel reserves to temporarily/artificially drop gas prices to help cement his victory in November. This man is a terrorist of the worst kind and will take whatever steps necessary to destroy this country.
It's all George Bush's fault. We will continue to hear it. Can anyone tell me what the Dept. of Energy does?
The cost of a barrel of oil is below what it has been in the past. Yet prices at the pump keep going up while oil companies have also slowed production in US refineries. Seems like big oil and their republican buddies are taking all of us while Obama gets the blame.
I don't like the gas prices any more than anyone else does, but if you think they'll go down with Romney in the White House, you're sadly mistaken!
