STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR MARTIN O'MALLEY ON HOUSE JOINT COMMITTEE VOTE TO MOVE CIVIL MARRIAGE PROTECTION ACT FORWARD

ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 14, 2012) – Governor Martin O’Malley issued the following statement on today’s joint committee vote in the House to move the Civil Marriage Protection Act of 2012 forward:

“Today’s vote on the Civil Marriage Protection Act is a significant step forward for the passage of this bill in Maryland. Together, we will continue our work to ensure that our State protects religious freedom and provides equal protection under the law for all Marylanders.”

Nothing religious about homosexuality. God hates it. Says both people should be stoned to death. Does our religious freedom give us the right to stone them to death. You should have let the voters decide.
