Mitt Romney Downplays $374,000 In Speaking Fees As 'Not Very Much'

WASHINGTON -- Mitt Romney has a new definition of "not much": $374,327.
On Tuesday, the Republican presidential candidate finally admitted that the effective tax rate he has been paying for the last several years is likely below that of middle-class workers, which would also include military servicemembers.

His new job will pay $400,000 a year plus $50,000 in expenses. His new job will not pay him for individual speaking engagements. His new job will only pay him a fraction of what he is used to making. It makes me question his sanity.

What a dumbass moron, it might be likely that I pay less than the middle class...

Well lets see... Rich = 15%; middle class =40%

I am not a brain surgeon but the math here is a little off, can someone tell me what it might be?

you do realize how stupid you look parroting the same old class warfare logic right? Can you tell me what the difference between the Rich's supposed 15% and the middle classes supposed 40%. No you can't. How about the fact is that 15% is taxed on capital gains. Now where did the money come from prior to that so it could be invested and charged the capital gains rate? Wait, it came from ordinary income! Guess what rate that was taxed at? bet its more than 40%! The 15% is double taxation. Never mind the fact that the rich guy paying 15% probably pays the same doller amount of around 40 middle class individuals combined. But yeah...he should pay his "fair share" right?

Forget the stats. The bottom line here is Romney has zero chance of defeating obama. ZERO. Even many Republicans hold their nose as they claim Romney to be "the guy". He is a slick, wealthy snake who will say anything he needs to to be elected. He has changed positions on so many critical issues that he is hard pressed, day to day, to remember what he said to who, and when he said it. He will be eviserated by the obama machine.
