"Evolution Public House" Restaurant & Brewery Coming Soon

Uplifting News: Last night I went to the Wicomico County Liquor Board Meeting in which John Knorr & Co. were interviewed by the Board referencing their new facility in Salisbury.

The Knorr Brothers had purchased the old Union Station in Salisbury several years ago with the intent of opening their Brewery there. While the former Mayor assured them things would work out, it did not. The Knorr Brothers then relocated and opened their manufacturing facility in Delmar, DE.

While being conservative, the Delmar facility seemed to be a perfect location with one exception, their beer being unbelievably good and sales taking off like there was no tomorrow. Once they started getting orders in they realized the Delmar location just wasn't going to work and they found the old Ice Plant just off Rt. 13 to be a perfect facility to expand.

The Knorr Brothers have invested many millions of dollars into several restaurants here on the Shore but this one will be their biggest yet. "Evolution Public House" will not only be a Brewery, it will house a restaurant, a bar and a tasting bar, including tours through the entire facility.

I enjoyed Mr. Knorr confronting the Liquor Board as his answers were direct, confident and honest. He truly did his homework and not one member felt the need to challenge any of his answers.

So here's the deal. The new facility will have indoor and outdoor dining. Their hope is to swing the doors on or about February 22nd. The Brewery should be in full swing by mid March. They do have plans for their Delmar, DE. facility but its doubtful it will continue as a brewery.

Salisbury News will continue, (as we have in the past HERE) to keep you updated on their progress. Great news for Salisbury.

First, I'd like to congratulate the Knorr brothers for their success.
Secondly, I'm happy to read that they're not just going to abandon Delmar, who was there for them to get this start.
I do wish they could have found a location in Delmar, DE to do this expansion but I'm also aware there aren't a lot of empty properties sitting.
Good luck to you in your future endeavors!

I also would like to congratulate the Knorr brothers for their hard work that will employ more people, but what I am really impressed with is that they had the patience and perseverance to deal with the incompetent Mayor and Council

I just got a grand tour and it's coming along very nice. They have spent a ton of money to turn that building around and bring more jobs to this area.

Congratulations to the entire SouthernBoysConcept family.

11:36, the council was really quite cooperative and supportive from what I hear. No idea about the mayor.

Of course, Tom Knorr is a professional and played by all the rules. I used to work in government (thank GOD I am OUT of that!) and people can complain about the rules, but you would not believe all the crap developers want you to do "just for them"! How are all those special deals Salisbury did working for you now?

This is good news for folks who appreciate good beer. It's nice to see that beer is becoming more "localized" again... sure it's more expensive than the run of the mill "maintenance beers"... but the beer made is fresh, tastes good, and offers variety that is fantastic. We really are lucky, in this area there seems to be a brewing "reniassance", Evo, Dogfish head, 16 Mile, not to mention those from across the bridge... it's good to be a beer drinker today!

The gentleman in the middle of the picture with the white shirt wasn't Tom, that's Tom's brother John Knorr. Great bunch of people.
