Incident: First Degree Assault

Suspect: David Edward Daniels, 34, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 15 December 2011 at 12:06 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault. The ensuing investigation revealed that while the victim, a taxi cab driver, was transporting the suspect, he punched her, choked her and touched her inappropriately. The suspect, David Daniels, was identified by the witness and was arrested. Daniels was charged with the below offenses.

Daniels was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Daniels in the Detention Center in lieu of $250,000.00 bond.
