Senators Call For FDA Ban On Flavored Cigars


Swisher Sweets could be the next target of federal tobacco regulation. 
A group of U.S. senators is urging the Food and Drug Administration to ban flavored cigars, claiming the "candy-like flavorings" increasingly are luring teens into the smoking habit -- even as they turn away from cigarettes.

It's a tax thing... a cig costs 45/carton and a cigar is 10, a tube of tobacco with A filter at the end. The tax man cometh.

5:34 knows the truth. The kids are not giving up cigarettes in favor of flavored cigars. They're makin blunts!!!!Someone needs to educate our lawmakers.Its the only thing these types of cigars are good for.No self respecting cigar smoker would even consider lighting up a peach flavored El Producto.

We should also put a ban on flavored alcohol. I bet those boozers in DC won't do that though they rely to much on it to make their bad choices

Those old morons are so out of touch with real life. Are they really worried about luring teens to flavored cigars, when the teens are looking for a new flavor to roll their grass in. Unbelievable, Thats our leader and Thats why we are in the shape we are in
