A swarm of thieves sweep into a store, grab everything in arms reach, and then sweeps back out en masse.
Around the region and around the country, this kind of "flash mob" robbery has become more and more common. Surveillance camera footage from Montgomery County dramatically illustrate what amounts to a store owner's nightmare.
With the holiday shopping season kicking into high gear, the National Retail Federation is asking stores to re-think how they do business this year.

I heard the mall is having a black friday type of sale this weekend!
Store owners or managers should have arms on hand to use.
These flash mobs should be shot on upon enetering and stealing anything. Aim for the legs or upper thighs , the knees are a good spot also.
3:03 is an idiot, the penalty for shoplifting isn't death. The store owners should carry pepper spray to dispurse on the mob. these are all repeat offenders and will do it again because they know they probably won't get caught, but an eyeful of pepper spray will slow their escape.
I agree with 3:03....shoot the schmucks. They are going to create havoc and the courts will just slap their wrists.
3:10 crime pays these days. 150 years ago if you raped, murdered or even stole a horse you were hung from a tree. crime was low, factor in how easy it was to rob a house 150 years ago. no alarm systems, finger prints etc. you did not want to break the law in those days, you had something to fear if you were caught.
