Mom Found Dead In Germantown, Md.; 11-Year-Old Son Abducted And 'In Danger'

Amber Alert issued for boy who was last seen on Sept. 30

A woman was reportedly found dead in her Maryland home Wednesday night and her 11-year-old son was believed to have been abducted.

An Amber Alert issued for William McQuain, of Germantown, said he was "abducted by an unknown male suspect and is believed to be in danger." NBC Washington reported that he was last seen on Sept. 30.

Radio station WMAL reported police officers found Jane McQuain's body when they went to her home during a missing-person investigation.

The 51-year-old woman was discovered dead in the bedroom with signs of trauma to her body, the station said.

The Amber Alert said that the child was believed to be in a 2011 black Honda CRV.

It described him as 5-foot tall, biracial with brown hair and brown eyes.
