Texas Gov. Rick Perry, the GOP presidential front-runner, fended off fierce attacks during Thursday night's debate from his rivals over his criticism of Social Security and his record on immigration.
Anticipating the attacks that came during his previous two debate appearances, Perry sought to put his rivals on the defensive at the Fox News/Google debate in Orlando.

It is not about "learning from mistakes" or being stupid.
Barry works for a particular set of people. He does EXACTLY what they tell him to do. He says EXACTLY what they tell him to say.
If you haven't understood this part of American Politics yet - then you are simply naive.
