Industrial Accident

LOCATION: Arthur W. Perdue Stadium 6400 Hobbs Rd, Salisbury

BRIEF RESUME:

On 09/22/2011 at approximately 1553 hours, the Salisbury Barrack was requested to respond to the above location for a reported industrial accident with serious injuries. Responding Troopers met with E.M.S. providers from the Salisbury Fire Department who were treating the victim later identified as Keith Dougherty for a partial amputation of his thumb. Dougherty was transported to P.R.M.C. and was being treated for the injury at the time of this release. Dougherty was employed by Light Action Productions from New Castle Delaware, and was on site, sitting up production equipment for the concert scheduled this weekend. Officials from Maryland Occupational Safety and Health responded to the scene for their investigation. At this time the incident appears to be truly accidental and no foul play is expected.
