Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are looking for a male who impersonated a police officer early yesterday evening in Wilmington.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, as a 56 year old Pennsylvania man was operating his vehicle on southbound Foulk Road approaching the intersection of Rt. 202 in Wilmington. The victim advised troopers that as he was driving, his vehicle was almost struck from behind by a subject who was operating a green Kia hatchback. A male subject, who was operating the Kia, then exited his car and approached the victim after they had stopped for a red light at Foulk Road and Rt. 202. The subject, who was dressed in what appeared to be a police uniform, began yelling and cursing at the victim and demanded the victim’s operator’s license. The victim turned over his operator’s license and was then told by the subject to follow him to his police station. The subject then drove off with the victim following him as he was ordered to do. The victim followed the subject to I-95 in the area of the Christiana Mall exit in Newark, where he then lost sight of him. The victim then returned home and contacted 9-1-1.

This isn't anything new in Wioomico County! We have police impersonation every day. They call them the Sheriff's department of Wicomico County, lead by Napolean.
Now this is some REAL Salisbury News!
Good luck asking a real, even an off duty cop for ID. That's normally taken as an insult. The same goes for when driving during night hours and waiting to stop and pull over under some lighted area. Good Luck! Oh and don't forget, if you record them on camera, even as a bystander, you will be visiting jail for at least one night. The charges will get dropped though. For anyone that thinks different, read some news and google it.
